A bento box (or O-bento in Japanese) literally means packed meal. Ususally used for lunch, these boxes have dividers and layers so you can organize your food each in an individual compartment!
With that said, what can you pack in a bento? Well, really almost anything just make sure it looks ultra kawaii. Add some special garments, napkins and kawaii chopsticks for decoration. Now if you want a traditional bento meal well here are a few ideas!
Bento Box Recipe!
- cold white rice and/or noodles
- okazu! - (side dishes) like bite sized pieces of fish, meat, eggs, veggies and fruit
- chopsticks!
- to school or work!
- plan a picnic with friends
- to give to that special someone to show you care - just likeTamaki form Ouran High School Host Club dreamt that haruhi would prepare for him.
