What's a Bento Box?

A bento box (or O-bento in Japanese) literally means packed meal. Ususally used for lunch, these boxes have dividers and layers so you can organize your food each in an individual compartment!

With that said, what can you pack in a bento? Well, really almost anything just make sure it looks ultra kawaii. Add some special garments, napkins and kawaii chopsticks for decoration. Now if you want a traditional bento meal well here are a few ideas!

Bento Box Recipe!
  • cold white rice and/or noodles
  • okazu! - (side dishes) like bite sized pieces of fish, meat, eggs, veggies and fruit
  • chopsticks!
When can I use a Bento?
  • to school or work!
  • plan a picnic with friends
  • to give to that special someone to show you care - just likeTamaki form Ouran High School Host Club dreamt that haruhi would prepare for him.
Now go off and make a bento!! Have fun!

How To Cosplay!

Sorry for being away for so long, I've been really busy with real life, working and trying to get my shop up. But I'm back and with a few neat posts on what keeps us breathing, Anime Culture!

This blog is going to give you the best tips out there to do a perfect Cosplay! I'll explain step by step how to pick your character etc. Hope you all love it!

Steps to a Perfect Cosplay:
1) Pick out an event! You can cosplay for a convention, have a cosplay party, hang around town with your friends or to school on a special event (just make sure you are not breaking any codes).

2)With that done, you must now pick a character: Who will you cosplay? Well you can dress up as your fave character, J-pop/J-rock band, a cute chibi, anything Anime you can come up with!

3) Making/Buying your costume. This is the most important step. Are you making this yourself, (if so there are a few tutorials I'm linking that you can check out) or are you buying it done. Sites like Ebay can be great to find your perfect costume and sites like Etsy are great for custom made accessories/props ( I have a cute shop with lots of lolita goth and Japan inspired stuff so I know ^-^). Just work out a budget that's right for you.

4) Learn your character, what's the point in cosplaying someone you don't like/know about! Remember you are acting and playing a role!

5) If your character has a sidekick or a bunch of friends, get all your people involved! the more the merrier! Have you and your friends dress up together!

6) Lastly, have fun! What's the point in Coplaying if you're not going to enjoy it! Remember, take lots of pics!

Have you coplayed before? Was it fun? Or, are you cosplaying soon? Share your thoughts and pics with me!! Take care!
